Easton

Easton is a small rural community situated in Fairfield County, approximately 50 miles from New York City.  The town has a total area of 28.6 square miles with a population of 7,490 at the 2010 census. 

According to Connecticut Magazine, Easton is rated #1 among towns with a population of 6,500 to 10,000 and has one of the best school systems in the State.

We visited a couple of delightful markets the other day.  We have been to Silverman's, 451 Sporthill Road many times and can never pass up their Dutch apple pie.  But it was a first for Sporthill Farm market, 596 Sporthill Road.  We came away with delicious fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, eggs and much more.  We watched as three little boys took great delight in feeding the chickens.  A fun visit for the whole family.
