Fairfield
Situated on Long Island Sound, about fifty miles from Manhattan, Fairfield is easily accessible by the Merritt Parkway and the Connecticut Thruway, just over a one hour commute from NYC, on Metro North train. Fairfield is a community of active people who enjoy a wide variety of cultural and recreational activities, including shopping at unique stores and dining at the many fine restaurants. It is sometimes referred to as the "Gold Coast" because of its affluent population.
There are five town beaches and Lake Mohegan, several tennis courts, two public golf courses, fishing, boating and two marinas. There are private yacht clubs and several nearby clubs offering golf, tennis, swimming and horseback riding.
